Saint-Etienne have recently upped their asked price for Tabanou, who had looked set to make a £3.5million move to south Wales, but the 26-year-old’s agent, Philipe Lamboley, is confident the deal will go through.
He told BBC Sport: “He has chosen Swansea, he has told me he is not interested in any other offers from any other clubs.”
Tabanou can play on the wing but is expected to compete for the left-back slot with Neil Taylor, who signed a new four-year contract at the Liberty Stadium earlier on Monday.
Tabanou made 31 appearances for Saint-Etienne this season, scoring once and claiming a further five assists. The former Toulouse player has 12 France U21 caps but has never appeared for the senior side.
