Taking the Mick?

Questions to be answered by McCarthy’s selection

Well it’s been a good long few years since I last appeared on Sky to air my views on the Mighty Wolves and what perfect timing just as so much controversy surrounds my beloved Wanderers.

My prediction is that MM will change at least 9 of the 11 who started against Man Utd, not sure why but I guess that will be the case. Our fans are split over Mick’s decision. I travelled up to the game with my Dad and we were both gutted to be arriving at Old Trafford with the white flags on show rather than the Gold and Black ones.

Only time will tell whether the decision was genius, stupidity, disrespect or outright cunning! A win on Sunday and all is well from the fans perspective a loss or draw and there may well be a backlash.

I don’t pretend to understand the job of a Premier League manager but I do understand the feelings of fans. We want to win every game, that’s not possible! But we want to try to win every game that surely is possible.

Questions

Did we send a side out to beat Man Utd, even Mick must admit that he didn’t have his best out there and that we stood no chance with the line-up he sent out. The players who did play on the other hand did their best, all that we fans could expect from them, some are clearly up to the job, others not.

My own personal view is that if Mick had of played with four or five changes and substituted effectively then no-one would have batted an eyelid, it’s been done before and will be done again, ten changes is perhaps taking the Mick!

Anyway on to the game, a Wolves win of course, we have a fresh team after all and Burnley have had a hard fought point against Arsenal on Wednesday! Last time they turned up at ours, they beat us 1-0 and we were in the middle of a dismal run (which ironically lead to promotion). This time it’s different, bigger stage, better players and larger prize.

My prediction is 2-1 Wolves, Craddock and Doyle; Milijas with both assists, OG for Burnley with 10 minutes to go so we have to scramble for everything and bite our finger nails as usual (sound familiar Wolves fans?)

My bet for the starting line-up…Hahnemann, Stearman, Craddock, Berra, Ward, Henry, Milijas, Jarvis, Halford, Doyle & Ebanks Blake.

Only 9 changes from Tuesday! COME ON YOU WOLVES!
