18.57pm: Chelsea are reportedly closing in on an £18million deal for Olivier Giroud as Arsenal inch towards the completion of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

18.40pm: Manchester City have signed England Under-21 midfielder Jack Harrison from New York City FC and loaned him immediately to Middlesbrough. As we told you earlier on Tuesday.

17.23pm: West Ham have made an enquiry to Lille for their captain Ibrahim Amadou, Sky Sports News report.

17.15pm: Wolfsburg are trying to persuade Liverpool midfielder Lazar Markovic to kick-start his career with them, according to Sky Sports.

Liverpool are happy for him to join the Bundesliga club on a permanent deal before the transfer window closes.

There had been interest from Swansea but it now appears that Wolfsburg is the main option left open to him to secure a move away from Anfield, with the Swans not confident of signing the Serbia international.

17.11pm: Chelsea believe they have struck a deal to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, according to the Daily Mirror.

16.52pm: Arsenal midfielder Marcus McGuane has agreed to join Barcelona for an undisclosed fee, the Gunners have announced.

The 18-year-old, who has played at Arsenal from under-6 level, has agreed a three-year deal with the Barca’s B team, and also has the option of two further years.

16.26pm: Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Celtic, claim the Sun.

16.22pm: Riyad Mahrez is ready to hand in a transfer request in a bid to force a move to Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail. They report a £50m offer has been made, and Mahrez is desperate to go.

3.56pm: TEAMtalk understands Dundee expect to sell star defender Jack Hendry before the transfer window closes on Wednesday with Celtic still in pole position.

The 22-year-old has become one of the most highly-rated young players in Scotland, which has seen clubs South of the Border – including Bournemouth, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Barnsley and Wigan all looking closely at him.

But Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of Hendry’s and is now to have instructed Celtic’s hierarchy not to miss out on the player, that he believes can be a real star.

Sources close the situation have confirmed to us that they Hendry to leave.

 

3.41pm: TEAMtalk understands there is English interest emerging in Rangers’ top-scorer Alfredo Merelos.

Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande have lodged a £7million offer for the 21-year-old – who only joined the club from HJK Helsinki in the summer for the £1.5million.

The Colombian has impressed with 13-goals, making him the top-scorer in Scotland and that has seen the interest emerging from China.

However, we understand that Rangers have now fielded enquiries from Premier League and Championship clubs, who are ready to match the offer from China.

3.40pm: Telegraph reporting that Man City would need to offer at least £90m to prise Riyad Mahrez from Leicester.

3.35pm: Swansea midfielder Roque Mesa has joined Sevilla on loan.

3.29pm: BBC report that Dortmund have given the green light for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to have a medical at Arsenal.

3.27pm:  L’Equipe say Rennes were offered the chance to sign Fernando Torres but opted for Diafra Sakho from West Ham instead. The paper also report Torres may be open to leaving Atletico Madrid.

2.49pm: Swansea are in advanced talks to sign Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic, claim HITC.

2.46pm:  Tottenham boss says Fernando Llorente is in his plans and denies Chelsea have made a move to sign the striker.

“Fernando is our player and I don’t know anything about that,” Pochettino said in his pre-match pres conference ahead of facing Manchester United on Wednesday.

2.40pm: Athletic Bilbao have moved quickly to replace Aymeric Laporte. They have signed Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad.

2.35pm: Wolves confirm they will be exercising their option to sign Diogo Jota on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid this summer.

2.31pm: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has arrived at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground, according to Sky.

2.22pm: Leeds have made an £8m bid for PNE striker Jordan Hugill, report the Mirror.

2.21pm: Man City are making a £60m deadline move for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez, claim The Sun.

1.34pm: Preston deny reports in the Sun and the BBC that Crystal Palace had agreed an £8m fee for striker Jordan Hugill.

The club said: “Despite wholly inaccurate reports in a national newspaper this morning, we have not agreed any transfer fee with any club for Jordan Hugill.”

1.17pm: Southampton’s attempts to sign Quincy Promes are being met by resistance from Spartak Moscow, claim Press Association Sport.

11.31am: Anderlecht have made a bid to re-sign striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle, claim the Newcastle Chronicle.

11.23am: Celtic have had a £200,000 offer for goalkeeper Trevor Carson rejected by Motherwell, say the BBC.

11.22am: Wolves want to sign striker Benik Afobe on loan from Bournemouth until the end of the season.

9.52am: Leon Bailey says he will not commit his future to Bayer Leverkusen beyond this summer amid reported interest from the Premier League.

9.22am: According to the BBC, Crystal Palace reportedly agree £8m fee with Preston North End for striker Jordan Hugill, who has been watched by Leeds.

9.12am: If you thought Manchester United were done this month, it may be time to think again. Reports in Spain have tipped them to make a surprise move for Borussia Dortmund’s Marc Bartra.

8.51am: Man City are hoping for a double deal before the window shuts. Aymeric Laporte is poised to become their club record signing from Athletic Bilbao, but there could also be a deal to bring Jack Harrison to the club from New York City FC – this a TEAMtalk exclusive.

8.46am: Arsenal are still looking to tie up a club record deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But it’s our understanding that the player has chosen the No 14 shirt at the Gunners and agreed a package worth £180,000 a week.
