Marc-Andre ter Stegen says he wants to remain at Barcelona this summer despite being linked with clubs including Liverpool and Manchester City.
Ter Stegen is second choice behind Claudio Bravo at Barca but appears regularly in the Champions League and Copa del Rey and says he is happy with life both on and off the pitch in Catalonia.
Ter Stegen has continually been linked with Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp took charge and has also been mentioned as a possible target for Manchester City, but the 24-year-old appears in no rush to push for regular first-team football.
“I’m very happy here and I want to stay here, with the life I have,” he said. “It’s a lovely place to live.
“You can never relax and you always have to give everything. Both myself and Claudio and Jordi (Masip) want to play and we work week after week to do so.
“I think that this idea is good for the team, too, because we’re always ready.”
