Serge Gnbary: Limited chances at Arsenal

Brighton, Fulham and Charlton are reportedly locked in a three-way battle to borrow Serge Gnabry from Arsenal, with the loan window opening for business on Tuesday.

The German youth international returned to the Emirates Stadium last month after failing to impress during his temporary spell with West Brom.

Gnabry, 20, played three times for the Baggies before being sent back to north London – with Baggies boss Tony Pulis suggesting the winger wasn’t good enough to make an impact at The Hawthorns.

The Germany youth international has made only a handful of appearances for Arsenal since his debut back in 2012.

And reports on Tuesday suggest Arsenal are willing to let him drop down a league in order to get action.

The emergency loan window opens on Tuesday and Football League clubs are set to take full advantage of the window, which runs until 24 March.

It is claimed Arsenal offered Gnabry to Fulham during the January transfer window as a bargaining chip in their efforts to land full-back Ryan Sessegnon.

Charlton were also said to have been eyeing a deadline-day approach for Gnabry but the deal could not be completed on time.
