Harry Kane: Tipped to get new £5m a year deal

Tottenham are set to hand Harry Kane a new five-year deal worth £5million a season to the player, according to reports in Tuesday’s press.

Despite his disappointing Euro 2016 campaign with England, Spurs remain fully behind their hotshot and The Sun claims the striker will put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the club until 2021.

Kane, 22, who bagged the Premier League Golden Boot last season with 25 goals, looked jaded as the Three Lions suffered a dismal last-16 KO by Iceland.

But he is set to commit to new terms for the second time this year as Tottenham make him their top earner in a bid to keep him happy.

Talks began as Mauricio Pochettino’s men were chasing the title and the £25million package how now reached a conclusion.

Spurs, whose title hopes bit the dust in the final few weeks of the campaign, are counting on Kane being back to his best as they make a return to the Champions League.

Kane may soon have a new strike partner with Spurs reportedly set to increase their offer for AZ Alkmaar ace Vincent Janssen to £16million.
