Tottenham star ranked second on list of world’s best young players

Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio has topped a list of the world’s best players 21 or under compiled by French newspaper L’Equipe.

Tottenham playmaker Dele Alli is in second place, with PSG star Kylian Mbappe third and Barcelona new boy Ousmane Dembele fourth.

Completing the top 10 are AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan, Manchester City attacking duo Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and RB Leipzig hitman Timo Werner.

In order to be eligible for the poll, players had to be born after January 1, 1996.
