Tottenham have reportedly already identified Kyle Walker’s replacement with the England man expected to leave White Hart Lane after his international duty.
Walker is a target for Man City and Pep Guardiola is hoping to wrap up a £40million move for 27-year-old Walker after the player returns from Paris with England.
The Telegraph also reports Spurs have lined up Porto right-back Ricardo Pereira as their top target when Walker leaves for The Etihad.
Mauricio Pochettino has identified Pereira, 23, as they man he wants to step into Walker’s right-back boots.
Pereira, who has two Portugal caps, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Nice. Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked with the player, who is rated in £20million bracket.
City were also believed to have Pereira, who has been linked with Liverpool, on their wanted list had they not managed to lure Walker.
Pereira, who has two years left on his contract, is versatile and can play right-back in a back four or right-wing back and he has also played at left-back.
He made 30 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last season, scoring twice whilst also claiming four assists.
