Andros Townsend appeared to be involved in a post-match row with Tottenham’s fitness coach after Spurs’ 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
Townsend was an unused substitute on Monday night, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino opting to hand youngster Josh Onomah his Premier League debut as his final change.
The England international has struggled for first-team football since the arrival of Pochettino as manager, and has played just 64 minutes of league football this season, making three starts across the Europa League and Capital One Cup.
Following the match, the 24-year-old was seen clashing with Nathan Gardiner, pushing the fitness coach away before jogging the length of the pitch and continuing to shout back at Gardiner.
Earlier in the night, goals from Moussa Dembele, Delle Alli and Harry Kane ensured Spurs stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 10 matches.
