Andros Townsend is reportedly set to be drafted back into the Tottenham fold for their Premier League game against West Ham at White Hart Lane after the international break.

The England winger was axed from the squads to face Anderlecht and Arsenal last week by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino after a run-in with Spurs fitness coach Nathan Gardiner.

His exclusion by the club led to speculation that he was would leave the club in January, with the likes of Aston Villa, Swansea, West Brom and Sunderland all linked with a possible £8million swoop for the player.

However, the Daily Mirror reports that Townsend has settled his differences with the club after apologising to both Pochettino and Gardiner and is back in contention for a place in the matchday squad for the match against the Hammers on Sunday 22 November.

Townsend could make a return to the bench after working hard in training since the incident and could even feature in the club’s following match – the Europa League tie away to Azerbaijan side Qarabag.
