Trio pen new deals at York

Tom Platt, Josh Carson and Michael Ingham have all agreed new one-year contracts with York, while George Swan has signed for the club following his release from Wolves.

Midfielders Platt and Carson and goalkeeper Ingham all played over 20 times for the Minstermen last term and will stay on as Russ Wilcox’s side bid to improve on their 18th-placed finish in League Two.

Swan, who was recently released by Wolves, had been allowed to train with the club at the back end of last season and the 20-year-old has done enough to earn a contract at a team where his father, Peter, used to be captain.
