Hakim Ziyech: Premier League interest this summer

Twente star Hakim Ziyech could be heading to the Premier League this summer with a number of clubs hoping to beat Bundesliga rivals to the Moroccan’s signature, sources have told TEAMtalk.

The 23-year-old, who generally operates behind a recognised striker or from a wide position, is coming off a stunning couple of seasons in the Eredivisie, in which he plundered 30 goals in 66 games as well as adding a plethora of assists.

That form has seen him attract the attention of Bundesliga clubs, with Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg and Schalke believed to be leading the chase, while Spartak Moscow are attempting to tempt him to Russia instead.

However, two clubs from the Premier League have expressed a strong interest in Ziyech, who would prefer a move to England, with others also continuing to monitor the situation.

Southampton, Sunderland, Swansea, Watford, West Ham, Crystal Palace, as well as new boys Middlesbrough, are all reported to be tracking the player, while Arsenal are also reported to have sent scouts to check on Ziyech.

Ziyech, a left-footed playmaker who has developed a reputation as a set-piece specialist in the Eredivisie, has two years left on his Twente deal.
