Germany midfielder Julian Draxler is reportedly open to a transfer and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the player.
The 22-year-old Schalke star has only been at the Volkswagen Arena for a season after making a£25.5million switch from Bundesliga rivals Schalke last summer. Draxler was bought with the money that Wolfsburg received for Kevin de Bruyne from Man City, but it has been reported by German publication Bild that the player is not fully committed to the club.
Draxler signed a lucrative five-year deal last summer, but he is believed to be unsettled and open to the possibility of moving on this summer.
And the uncertainty surrounding his future at Wolfsburg has reportedly put Draxler on Jose Mourinho’s radar at Old Trafford.
Bild claim Wolfsburg would demand a transfer fee in excess of the £25.5million that Wolfsburg paid last summer should United make a move for the attacking midfielder, who has started both of Germany’s games at Euro 2016.
Mourinho is looking to strengthen his wide options this summer after also being heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Wolfsburg beat off competition from Juventus to sign Draxler last summer, while Arsenal have been long-term admirers of the player.
