Reported Manchester United target Arjen Robben says he is happy at Bayern Munich following speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Reports of a bust-up with Bayern hitman Robert Lewandowski had prompted talk in the British and German press that the forward was exploring the possibility of reuniting himself with Louis van Gaal.
The 31-year-old previously played for Van Gaal at Bayern and the Netherlands national team, but Robben has poured cold water on the speculation.
“I never thought about a transfer,” Robben said at Bayern supporters event. “I am happy in Munich – my family is happy in Munich.
“My contract runs until 2017. You can’t look too far forward in football, but everything is fine at the moment – I hope things continue this way.”
Last week Van Gaal refused to answer questions about United’s reported interest in Robben, who has one-and-a-half years to run on his Olympic Stadium deal.
