Antoine Griezmann & Paul Pogba: Petit thinks they will be together next term

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit is convinced that Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann will be at Manchester United next season.

The Premier League giants have been consistently linked with the France international over several months with some reports indicating a deal has already been agreed with Griezmann.

The Frenchman has scored 17 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Atletico this campaign, while he also scooped third place in the 2016 Ballon d’Or.

And his compatriot, Petit, believes that the 25-year-old will join international team-mate Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

“I think he will come to Manchester United, definitely,” Petit told Soccer AM.

“He has a great partnership with Pogba in the national team, they are very good friends as well.

“He will bring goals, assists and his winning mentality as well.

“Griezmann over the last four years has improved step by step.

“Every single year he has improved his level all the time so he’s got big ambition personally but as well with the team he’s playing for.

“For me it would be a big bargain for Manchester United.”
