Brighton defender Bruno has signed a 12-month contract extension with the Sky Bet Championship club.
The 36-year-old’s current deal was due to expire this summer, but the Spaniard will now stay at the Amex Stadium until at least June 2018.
“Bruno has earned his extension,” manager Chris Hughton told the club’s official website.
“He has played almost every league game and sets a great example on and off the pitch. He has been a model professional and has been a great player to work with.
“He’s been really consistent throughout my time here and has been one of our key players.”
Bruno has made more than 150 appearances since arriving from Valencia in 2012 and he was appointed club captain last summer.
