Arsene Wenger: Arsenal deserved to lose derby

The 30-year-old failed to make an appearance for Town after October despite starting the season in the side.

He became manager Micky Mellon’s first signing last summer after leaving Cheltenham but made just eight League Two appearances – and 10 in total – as the Shrews finished second to earn promotion.

A club statement read: “Shrewsbury Town would like to thank Ash for for his efforts while at the Club and wish him all the best in the future.”
