Former Tottenham and Liverpool sporting director Damien Comolli expects Kevin Mirallas to remain at Everton this season.
Mirallas has been out of favour at Goodison Park this season, starting only once in the Premier League, and has been linked with a move to the likes of Marseille and West Ham.
Having started his career with St Etienne, a move to France could be appealing, however Comolli expects the winger to remain on Merseyside.
“For sure he would be efficient [at Marseille],” he told Le Phoceen.
“He is young and today, at 28, he would return [to France] with more experience and character. I honestly do not see who could afford him in France, except for Paris [Saint Germain].
“Unless he lowered his salary I do not see how that’s possible.”
The Belgium international admitted earlier this month he could leave the Toffees as he has become frustrated by a lack of first-team football, but with a permanent deal seemingly not on the cards, Comolli has also dismissed the possibility of a loan move.
“Everton will never let him go, because if they let him go out on loan, they will have to sign someone else,” the Frenchman added.
