Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores says the Hornets produced their best performance of the season in the 2-0 victory over West Ham.
Two goals from Odion Ighalo either side of half-time secured a thoroughly-deserved victory over the league’s high flyers – who finished the game with 10 men after James Collins was sent off for a lunge on the goalscorer, who then had to be substituted.
Despite the Nigerian striker’s heroics, Flores was delighted by the whole team’s showing.
“The boys did really well,” said the Spaniard.
“Everyone knows how important Ighalo is but a lot of players have the opportunity to score. We are defending well and keeping he ball with confidence and a lot of players have ability to score.
“Was it our best performance? Yes, probably. I like it when we play football, and we defended well and played football with confidence. We are a tough team when we play like this.”
