Arsenal’s players have “let down” boss Arsene Wenger, who has been unfairly criticised, according to Aaron Ramsey.
Wenger’s future at Arsenal is uncertain, with the manager’s current contract expiring at the end of the season.#
The Frenchman is believed to be ready to make an announcement in the next two months, but he has yet to sign the new deal that has been offered to him by the club.
The Gunners’ fans are split on Wenger’s future, although more dissenting voices have come to the fore since the 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Ramsey though admits the criticism of Wenger has been “unfair” and the players are just as much to blame.
“He’s been a great servant to Arsenal and great manager for me and the players,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“We have let him down at times. It is unfair some of the things that have been said. People are entitled to their opinion but he has been great for me personally.”
