Wenger not concerned over empty seats at Emirates

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes the club’s supporters will be fully behind his side, when they take on CSKA Moscow in their Europa League quarter-final first leg tie on Thursday.

However, Wenger believes that the fans always turn up for the big games and will be willing his team on to victory on Thursday.

“I’m not worried,” said Wenger at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“The crowd, when something is at stake, is always there and always behind us.

“What will decide the attitude of the crowd is the quality of our game.

“I am always concerned when our stadium is not completely full, but I don’t think that will be a problem tomorrow.

“The crowd will be behind us.”
