Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes Arsene Wenger will walk at the end of the season if the Gunners continue to underachieve.
Arsenal missed the chance to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea after their shock home defeat to Watford on Tuesday night and if they continue to struggle for good form, Parlour reckons the Frenchman will hand the reins over to a new manager this summer.
“He would know if he hasn’t done a good job this season, and I think he would walk,” Parlour told talkSPORT when asked about his former boss.
“He wouldn’t go upstairs, I think he’d go back to France and that’s it.
“I don’t think he’d be part of the board. I don’t think he’s the sort of man who would do that.”
Arsenal are now preparing to face Chelsea in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
