West Ham goalkeeper Adrian seeks move across London
West Ham goalkeeper Adrian wants out of the club after the Hammers signed England stopper Joe Hart on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with Crystal Palace reportedly interested.
The Spaniard, 30, does not want to spend a season playing second fiddle to Hart, and Crystal Palace see him as an ideal replacement for the departing Steve Mandanda, who is returning to Marseille after a surprisingly short stint in England.
However, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic won’t sell until he finds a replacement, having already sold Darren Randolph to Middlesbrough.
Palace have seen a deal for Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen fall through, and are now offering £3.5m for Adrian to provide competition and cover for Wayne Hennessey.
West Ham are eager for a stronger showing this season than last, and have shown ambition in the transfer market with the acquisitions of Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, and Pablo Zabaleta, alongside the deal for Hart.
