Winston Reid is set to be rewarded with a bumper new contract extension at West Ham, according to reports.
The New Zealander has played in 25 of the Hammers’ 28 Premier League matches this season, producing some top performances along the way.
The arrival of Jose Fonte from Southampton on reported wages of over £70,000-a-week has, according to the Daily Mirror, led the West Ham hierarchy to consider giving Reid a pay rise to bring him in line with his fellow centre-back.
The 28-year-old only signed a new six-year deal in 2015 and is now set to be rewarded with a more impressive salary.
West Ham are looking to do similar deals with a number of their players with Fonte’s arrival leading to some stars recalculating their wage demands.
One of those players is understood to be Michail Antonio, with his contribution of nine Premier League goals this season likely to be enough for him to ask for more money.
