Boleyn Ground: West Ham set to make emotional farewell

West Ham have rejected several offers for highly-rated starlet Marcus Browne to go out on loan, sources have told www.teamtalk.com.

Browne is regarded as one of the best young talents to come through the ranks at West Ham’s famed academy in recent years.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for West Ham but has been a regular for the club’s Under-21s.

West Ham have earned a reputation for helping developing their own players for the first team, with Browne expected to be the latest to make the breakthrough into the senior side.

The attacking midfielder has impressed Slaven Bilic and his coaching staff with his progress and has been named on the bench for West Ham’s last two games.

A number of Football League clubs are understood to have made enquiries about signing Browne, but West Ham are keen to keep hold of the attacker as Bilic sees him as a valuable member of his squad for the remainder of the season. Browne is expected to make his debut before the end of the campaign.
