Michy Batshuayi: Palace have big bid accepted

West Ham have reportedly offered €35million for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The forward is currently representing Belgium at Euro 2016 but Sky Sports is reporting that the Hammers have tabled a bid for the 22-year-old.

Their story says: “The Hammers’ offer was worth around £28.25m at 9am on Friday morning, although the amount may change as the exchange rate fluctuates following the Brexit vote which could put a number of potential moves in doubt.”

Batshuayi has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs since admitting that he might be open to the idea of leaving Marseille, with Juventus and Tottenham on the trail of the 24-goal forward.

He told Sky Sports last month: “I don’t think about that, I prefer to concentrate 100 per cent on the Euros, then we will see what happens.

“Everybody likes the Premier League. It has a lot of spectacle, a lot of goals and many good players. It is natural that every good player is attracted by that league.”

Batshuayi is yet to see any game time for Belgium at the European Championships.
