West Ham have taken Birmingham City midfielder Reece Brown on trial until January 27 with a view to signing the youngster.
Brown, 19, has made two substitute appearances for Birmingham this season, having made his debut for the club in 2013.
Last season he spent a month on loan at Notts County, where made three appearances under Shaun Derry.
“Because Reece has not been involved in our First Team, both parties just felt this was a good opportunity for him to go down there to train and play,” Birmingham manager Rowett told tge club’s official website.
Brown, who has represented England at four different youth levels, will be able to play in two non first-team fixtures for the Hammers.
