The 26-year-old defender made just four appearances for Stevenage last season, but he revealed a conversation with Moore has left him raring to go ahead of the new campaign.
Worley is optimistic Moore can lead the club to further success, after masterminding a dramatic escape from relegation at the end of the season.
He told the club’s official website: “Every player is the same – you want to feel wanted, and Ronnie has certainly done that with me because he’s made it very clear he wanted me here so that was good enough for me.
“He obviously did something very right here at the end of last season because he turned things around massively.
“Momentum is a big thing in football and at the end of last season you just kind of knew every week that Hartlepool would win again or get another result – now I am looking forward to playing my part next season.”
Worley also moved to allay any fears among Pools fans by saying he is over the cruciate knee ligament injury that caused such disruption to his year.
“I had a difficult season last year being ruled out for most of it but one of my only games was in the win over Hartlepool in the first game, so sorry about that!” he said.
“It was just a freak injury last season and it was really frustrating to not be involved but these things happen; I played the last game and now I need a good pre-season under my belt and I’ll be flying.”
