Wycombe v Oxford United preview

admin

Wycombe will be without Sido Jombati as they look to cement an automatic promotion place against Oxford.

The full-back is likely to miss the rest of the season with an ankle problem that has seen the former Cheltenham man sit out Wycombe’s last four games.

Boss Gareth Ainsworth has to decide whether to name an unchanged line-up or recall Millwall loanee Fred Onyedinma who dropped to the bench for their 1-0 win over Dagenham.

But Danny Rowe will not be involved having returned to his parent club Rotherham after 17 appearances for the Chairboys.

Oxford look set to hand Kyle Vassell his first start for the club at Adams Park.

The 22-year-old Peterborough loanee stepped off the bench to net the winner within five minutes of his introduction against Carlisle last weekend and looks likely to be given the nod from the start.

Head coach Michael Appleton, who has no fresh injury problems for the short trip, could also recall Callum O’Dowda who was also introduced against the Cumbrians.

Patrick Hoban ended his 19-hour wait for a United goal last weekend and is likely to keep his place.
