Also, Arsenal have a good goalkeeper, Liverpool don’t, and Tottenham fans are slowly getting that same old familiar feeling…
If you have anything to add on any subject, you know what to do – post on the Your Say forum now.
Guus offers nothing new
In all honesty I never really rated Hiddink -yes he was successful last time he was here and he had a bit of success at certain clubs but he brings no new ideas, he selects the same team that failed under Mourinho and I am not sure why he believes they would perform any better, I have not seen much improvement at all and he did the same last time he was here but then it worked cause of the type of players we had operating as the spine, we dont have these guys no more so he is chancing his arm, total lack of ideas or vision, may as well kept Mourino or appointed Holland as interim manager.
Cech the difference
Having Cech between the stick is so assuring. I am amazed others cannot notice the difference. Aside from the opening day, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.
Do people not remember the days of Almunia and Fabianski? Szcensey and Ospina steadied the ship a little bit, but Cech is another level.
Mignolet Liverpool’s ‘worst ever keeper’
He must be the worst if not one of the worst keepers ever to don a Liverpool shirt and I have been watching us since 1949. Every time the ball comes near the box he gives me the jitters. A solid keeper gives the defence faith in themselves a bad keeper does not instill confidence in Defenders. He needs replacing urgently as this buffoon costs us points every season.
‘Same old Tottenham’
When will the management at spurs realise that possession does not win games, 60%plus last night and in the cup game and look at the result. We are hard working with no flair and very little exceptional talent hence 9 drawn games. Last night was crying out for us to play 4-4-2 after the cup game but oh no Poch does not change, top four NO chance in fact do not be surprised if Chelsea and Liverpool finish above us. Unless Levy opens his wallet we will be in a steady decline for the remainder of the season, What an opportunity missed this season. Same old same old Tottenham. By the way I though we were only posting on the “your say page” to save opening all these other threads.
‘Real deal’ Kelechi Iheanacho
Kelechi looks the real deal. We’ve not covered ourselves in glory in recent years when it comes to giving youth a chance, but in this lad we have uncovered a real gem and he needs to be given a chance.
New striker ‘a must’ for Liverpool
Last night’s result can be used as a platform to now build a momentum.
I was impressed with the spirit and the togetherness more than anything; genuinely makes me feel happy.
Under the circumstances of injuries in which we have battled with all season, the 3-3 draw is something positive – imagine though if we did have a Sturridge or an Ings?
A new top quality striker is a must in the summer, but between now and then, we have to invest everything we can to ensure we finish the season on a high and with silverware.
