Your Says of the Day: Liverpool need to sign Bundesliga star

Mario Gotze: On his way to Liverpool?

Mario Gotze: On his way to Liverpool?

Also, Jose Mourinho is desperate for the Manchester United job, England’s starting XI for Euro 2016, and why Brendan Rodgers is “tactically clueless”.

If you have anything to add on any subject, we’d love to here from you on the Your Say forums.

Gotze, Aubameyang or Lewandowski to Liverpool… only Klopp knows

I have a guy feeling that another former/current Dortmund player will join Liverpool together with Mario Gotze in summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? Marco Reus? Robert Lewandowski? Only Jurgen Klopp knows.

If Aubameyang/Lewandowski or even Marco Reus agrees to join us, I will have no surprise that Jurgen Klopp will accept selling Daniel Sturridge to raise funds.

Aubameyang/Lewandowski/Reus as the lone striker with Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Mario Gotze behind. It’s an attacking line that can challenge/win the title. (A man can dream)

Mourinho desperate for Man Utd job

Jose Mourinho wants the Manchester United job bad. This guy will do whatever he has to. He will give youth a chance but I fear they won’t get many chances. Regardless he will bring the club to the top where they belong. He will weed out the s**t, I noticed martial art making comment about the players he bought and got rid of but like all great manager, like Sir Alex Ferguson, they will make mistakes but their record speak for themselves.

England’s starting line-up for the Euros

My predictions for Roy Hodgson’s team (if everybody is fit). I would also like to stress this isn’t my first 11, just my prediction on Roy Hodgson’s:

GK: Joe Hart
RB: Nathaniel Clyne (I’d pick Kyle Walker)
CB: Chris Smalling and Gary Cahill
LB: Danny Rose
DM: Eric Dier and Jordan Henderson (I’d have Eric Dier and Dele Alli)
LAM, CAM RAM: Dele Alli, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck (I’d have Jamie Vardy playing Dele Alli in LAM with him dropping back, and Ross Barkley playing instead of Wayne Rooney)
Striker: Harry Kane

Henderson’s role at Liverpool

If Tottenham want Jordan Henderson Liverpool should bite their hands off. £40-45 million. No less. Jordan Henderson has shown he can function effectively in a good team. I remember thinking after he was sent off against Manchester City two season’s ago that this could cost us the title. He’s good at what he does. Providing an extra man at both ends of the pitch. He’s never going to have Steven Gerrard’s quality going forward or Javier Mascherano’s defensive abilities because that isn’t his style. We need better players alongside him so he can support them.

In an average team his function is diminished because of the lack of quality at both ends of the pitch and he can’t provide that. He just isn’t the type of player to carry a team on his shoulders but a decent and important one nonetheless. All I can say is it’s going to be a big summer for us but if Jordan Henderson leaves he will leave another void in this team that we would need to fill.

Carrick to Chelsea… you never know in football

No doubt the lack of Champions League football is going to be more of a challenge this summer for Chelsea when trying to recruit players which is why having a manager in place who will be attractive to players is important and Antonio Conte would fulfil that objective as Vidal’s comments indicate.

I can’t believe that Michael Carrick would be on Antonio Conte’s or any other potential future Chelsea manager’s list of priority targets or that we would be so hard pushed in getting players in that we would have to turn to Michael Carrick but I guess if this season has taught us anything it is that you just never know in football.

Rodgers needs to “deflate his head”

Kenny Dalglish came to Liverpool at a time when we needed him and proved to be a significant improvement on that dinosaur Roy Hodgson. However, it was evident that his methods were outdated. We needed a a fresh face at the helm and in came Brendan Rodgers when we couldn’t get jurgen Klopp.

As for Brendan Rodgers, if he really wants to succeed he needs to deflate his head. He’s tactically clueless and is arrogant enough to think he doesn’t need a plan B. Not to mention his handling of relationships with players is abysmal. He has a long way to go before he becomes a good manager let alone a world class one. A decent club like Valencia might suit him especially since the Spanish league is more suited to his style and he can build up his reputation again but for now no TOP club will want him and rightly so.

Players come to Chelsea because of money, not love

It’s been written on here countless times about Chelsea’s inability to produce their own players, so we have bought players in, those players didn’t come to us for love, they came for money and for the opportunity to compete for trophies. Romelu Lukaku wanted to play football, something we couldn’t guarantee, so he pushed for a move, now he’s proved himself he wants to play in the Champions League. Fair play to him, we missed an opportunity, and instead opted to go with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o, Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato….

Ibe could benefit from another loan deal

It’s strange how Jordan Ibe has fallen off the radar of late. I’ve heard that he’s training with the youth team, rather than the first team, which is worrying. Also, he was sent off yesterday playing for England u21s after picking up two yellows. The loan to Derby worked out well for him, and got him in and around our squad. Maybe a similar move again would kick start his career, after it seems to have stalled over recent weeks and months.
