Liverpool selection poser

Mak, i wouldnt change Milner. Why disrupt the back 4 when we have Can available?Surely he is fit enough to start now? that would be a massive call to bring moreno in.Winji still might make it yet by the sounds of things.

to go to 4-2-3-1 would be crazy when 4-3-3 has served us so well so far. Its going to be interesting. Ings has not even made the bench recently and i highly doubt he will start on monday. We dont want to distrupt the starting 11 to much if it can be avoided.

Im a huge sturridge fan but theres something not right. He just doesnt look at sharp as he can. Has he lost a bit of pace? He used to skin players now his ball control etc are not great. Still think he is our best striker but its 6 games without a goal now. Must be his longest streak for us. Would love to see him start and bury a goal on monday

Coutinho sale?

One question lads, would you rather see Coutinho in form firing on all cylinders for the remainder of his contract or sell him for top dollar?

I know I would prefer to see him play out his contract.

Lewondowski left on free from Dortmund but only after firing them to a couple of titles, I would state that winning the title is worth way more than any transfer fee Dortmund could have gotten for him.

PSG right-back would be my choice for United

Right-back is perhaps the weakest position in our team at the minute, but I think Darmian should be given a run of games.

If Jose opt to buy another RB, Aurier of PSG would be my first choice. He is one of the best right backs in the world. Just a shame he clearly has no brains.

Fabinho of Monaco is a terrific defender and very good going forward, and can play at full back and at CM. He’s only 22 but an outstanding defender with a refreshingly old school mindset

He may not be everybody’s first choice, but Lukas Piszczek of Dortmund is definitely worthy of the spot on our list.

Too old at 31?

Piszczek is 31, far too old to be paying money for, he’s been plagued by injuries for the last few seasons, not major ones but lots of little niggles.

His quality is undoubted but he’s the wrong profile, age-wise, for us at the moment. He’s entering the twilight of his career, I know we got Zlatan but I feel he is very much going to be the exception and not the rule.

I’d stick with Fabinho who at least is young but with plenty of experience, Coleman (who is 28 so even though I like him as a player is pushing the limits age-wise of buying a player in his prime).

I think Darmian could be good enough and to be fair most RB’s would be chasing Sanchez’s shadow, it’s about having the mental strength to shake it off and come back again the next week, something that perhaps Darmian doesn’t have.

Suggested United line-up

predicted line up? Going with DDG, Tony, Smalling, Baily, blind, Rashford / Lingard, Pogba, Herrara, martial, Mata, Ibra

Would love to see Mikki but dont know whats happened to him, looks like kagawa part 2 all over again

as long as rooney or fellani dont start think we got a decent chance with their defence.

No transfers – perfect for Tottenham

No transfers at all would be the perfect business. Let the squad gel and the youngsters integrate further and progress. We have barely seen GKN, Kane & Dembele have been injured and Janssen is still adjusting. We aren’t at 100% and yet look decent, a rare thing!

This young Brazilian was in a meeting with us in London, left back. Looks pacy and built well so it looks like he could cope with the physical demands so if he did join chuck him with the other youngsters and see what happens. Seems highly rated in Brazil and schalke are interested too.

What has happened to Cahill?

Cahill was, and still is, a decent player. However, playing alongside JT I fully expected him to progress to become more than just decent and that he would walk straight into JT’s shoes as the next captain

Really not sure what has happened and wonder if the fact that Jose played Zouma ahead of Cahill has had an impact on his confidence but in playing terms it is my feeling that Cahill has gone backwards

The worrying thing is that he is still considered one of the best for England so that really shows how little in the bank we have for the national side

I do not mind Cahill playing so long as he has a strong leader next to him as that does seem to improve his game, however, for the long term if we can assume that Zouma and Christensen will form the backbone of the defence, and that is regardless of whether we have 3 or 4 at the back, then I think we could dispense with Cahill but only so long as we do get in an experienced solid CB

Whether that be Bonucci or possibly even Alonso given a shout or look at someone from the EPL I have no issues but we MUST have a leader to replace JT and currently I do not see anyone in the squad capable of filling that void.
