One Manchester United fan is suggesting a walk out in protest of Louis van Gaal’s continued employment, while Michael Owen’s view’s on Roberto Firmino haven’t gone down well.
Walk out on Van Gaal
I really think it’s high time the board listened to the fans, we pour money into Glazers’ pockets more than most fans into their clubs and this LVG saga has dragged on long enough! I don’t think LVG can get us top four this season but am quite convinced a Mourinho could pull back the six points. A rut has been formed with LVG and it won’t close, the fans the players and staff look entirely unhappy. We haven’t even travelled to this God awful European competition yet that (even in February) LVG has conceded is our best chance to get CL football. A competition we only entered through his own inadequacy! I think a walk out on the 68th minute against Arsenal at OT, if he is not gone should be well received if we have the balls to do it. Quite frankly I’m sick of hearing people complain about the Glazers and the state of the club and doing NOTHING. I’m sick of giving out myself! Why the 68th minute? to signify our first European Cup, start of genuine success and a turning point in the club. One we need now!.
Firmino already a success
Shows you how little Michael Owen knows about football, and also how little he cares about Liverpool.
Was Firmino not the PFA Fan’s Player of the Month for January? And now, Phil Thompson has told Sky Sports that Roberto Firmino’s performances for Liverpool in recent weeks have made him the first name on Jurgen Klopp’s team sheet.
So how exactly does Firmino need an angry streak to be a success? He is already a success, and gettting better.
There’s a positive and a negative side to this appointment.
On the negative, it COULD be jobs for the boys and Butt clearly wasn’t first choice for the job.
On the plus, he’s been through the academy and working with youth sides for the past few years so can probably see where the shortcomings are and should have ideas on how to change them. Plus he may not be a legend like Giggs, and see how much respect he has on these pages, but he will certainly be respected.
Interesting call by the board, director of football still needed to take charge of an overall direction/vision for the club at ALL levels though.
Sturridge stick unfair
Only one person’s opinion counts more than that of any others, and that is the word of Sturridge himself.
Until I hear what he has to say on this issue affecting his own body, the opinions of former players and pundits, count for nothing.
Some like Hamann, have been incredibly patronising and condescending towards him regarding his injuries. It is a fact of life that some players are more injury prone than others, so no need to criticise them for it.
Jon Obi Mikel is as lethal in Europe as Diego Costa. Both have score one goal in the last two seasons in the Champions League. Discuss.
Have to remember that we were happy with our players some months ago and were frightened of nobody and disappointed if we lost to any of the top 4. Bolasie injury is the key because we then lost our width and as a result Pardew never had a plan B although playing Wickham up front was worth a punt and glad to see he realised early that it was not working. To stay up we have enough in our squad and should not waste silly money. The ground has to be sorted. I personally believe in Parish.
Europa League bonuses
Keep the top Premier League clubs rich and stop any hope of progression for smaller team in the Championship and below? This sounds like Tory thinking! TV money is hiking up the prices for fans whilst keeping the owners and The FA to sit happily upon a mound of cash. Crazy idea but surely the idea of winning a European trophy should be lure enough, sadly money has all but ruined the game.
