Your Says of the Day: Wenger has ‘ruined’ the Ox
Also, Manchester United need Mourinho, Pellegrini should go if Manchester City are beaten by Tottenham, plus which goals scored against your club you would rule out.
If you have anything to add on any subject, you know what to do – post on the Your Say forum now.
Wenger wasting Oxlade-Chamberlain
Anyone else think wenger has completely ruined one of our most talented players playing him in central positions.Let me get it straight,he’s not good at passing,he’s not good at keeping possession so why did he ever consider him in a central position. His strengths are pace and dribbling running at the defenders the perfect counter attacking weapon. Two years ago,He was on the same level as Sterling. This is what I don’t like about Arsenal,I feel Ox is as talented and he should be developed to his maximum potential. With his lack of game time, his value would be around £30m I guess. Not acceptable. A player of his talent and potential should be around £50m and He should play more regularly.
Jose the man for Manchester United
There is a few things what I don’t like about JM, but further he would be the best choice if he could control those ones.
First he should be stopping to put himself in the spotlight. He should promote United and not himself. Second of all, he is not staying too long at a club. He should commit to United as it was his last job on earth to in everything!!
Good points are, he got lots of experience, what is good for United.
He attracts big name to United to make United successful again, if we go for Giggs I wouldn’t see that. Overall even that it is all in the media, am glad to get rid of LVG!! JM would get 300M to spend in the summer. I would go for Stones/Varane/Pogba/Griezmann/Muller/Sane or Bale. A good match from young excellent players to experience players.
Pellegrini in the last chance saloon
If we lose badly against spurs I’d send Pell on his way. Let kiddo run things till the close season. Can’t get much worse, play the fa villa team against spurs and hopefully Nick a win. Demechellis must I repeat must be benched for this game. So long Pell if we lose, thanks for the holistic approach and the integration of these inspiring youngsters.
If you could rule out one goal scored against your club
I’m going to start it off by saying it would have to be the goal that Eto’o scored against us in the CL final.
Not just because it was the equaliser that helped them go on to win it, but also because it was offside, and part of me still hasn’t gotten over it.
What would yours be?
Portsmouth in the 2008 FA Cup – a match where we were extremely unlucky and the refs were pants and Portsmouth stole a 1-0 that knocked us out, if it wasn’t for that result I have no doubt that we would’ve won the treble again that season (Barnsley, Cardiff and WBA were the only teams left in the competition).
Future looking bright at Newcastle
we have a bunch of highly rated youngsters coming through. And we know that SM has a history for blooding through youngsters. But what is baffling is that all this ‘talent’ cannot string victories in competitive matches for U16/U18/U21. Mbabu and Aarons have been with us a couple of years. Armstrong is being blooded on loan. Barlaser, Suddick, Cameron and Sterry can be good as well.
If Sunderland have a chance against ManU, we have as well. Chelsea plays CL next week. But I won’t be disappointed we lose, as long as we put up a fight.
Pulis is a clown
The different attitude of the respective managers was obvious right from kick-off. Westley had inspired his side to play to his style of attacking football and they did this with commitment and ability well above their position. Our lot unfortunately had mixed feelings. Some were committed, some couldn’t take TP’s style of play and some didn’t seemed to want to be there at all. Gamboa showed that he is quick in the tackle and over the ground and can pass the ball (mostly to his own men). He also seems to have elastic legs. Chester seems happier in central defence and had a decent game. Jonas constantly complained about everything and everybody. Poco seemed p1$$ed at not starting at LB but eventually got going. Yacob was, Yacob. Fletcher looked tired and misplaced passes and Gardner did little apart from a volley headed off the line. Neither SB nor Rondon seemed interested for most of the game and I suspect both are fed up of TP. Sess was like Poco in feeling he should have started but although he runs at players his final ball is poor. Finally, McClean, WBA’s Mr Popular. He ran his socks off both helping out in defence and trying to set up attacks. He must have been dead on his feet at the end. We have the players to play like Posh but unfortunately our manager is a clown. He’s hung onto the job for now but if we lose to Everton and Palace he could be off (hopefully it won’t be too late).
