Zlatan Ibrahimovic could still reportedly have a future at Manchester United if he makes a full recovery from his knee injury.
Despite United being close to completing a £75million deal for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, it is said that Zlatan could still become a New Year addition for Jose Mourinho’s men.
The 35-year is currently training at Carrington after accepting the club’s offer to complete his rehabilitation under their care.
Senior Old Trafford sources have told the Sunday Mirror that Ibrahimovic could complete a sensational comeback if Mourinho is looking for more firepower in January.
United had been keen for the Swedish veteran to sign a one-year contract extension before he was injured, but there was also interest from the the Chinese Super League and the MLS.
However, it is understood that Ibrahimovic has been so impressed by the level of care United have shown him over the summer that he will give them the first option when he returns.
