Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Notts County and MK Dons at Meadow Lane.

Notts County boss Martin Allen could be boosted by the return of Gavin Mahon and Krystian Pearce for the visit of his former club.

Mahon has been a big miss for the Magpies, who have lost three and won one of the five matches during the midfielder's absence with a hamstring injury.

Pearce has resumed training and been given the all-clear to play after missing the last two games because of a groin problem.

The defender's return is particularly good news for Allen who is short of options at the back with the suspended Alan Sheehan and the injured Julian Kelly (calf), Sam Sodje (hamstring), Jude Stirling (knee) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) all out.

Recent signings Damion Stewart and Kieron Freeman will make their home debuts should they retain their places in the starting XI.

MK Dons are expected to be unchanged.

Boss Karl Robinson is likely to select the same side that started the FA Cup replay defeat to QPR on Tuesday night.

The Dons performed admirably against the Premier League club at Loftus Road, narrowly losing 1-0 after dominating for much of the tie.

Robinson's only injury absentee will be Gary MacKenzie as the Scottish defender is still nursing the groin problem that kept him out of the trip to west London.

With just five substitutes permitted in League One, as opposed to seven in the cup, Robinson faces decisions about who to leave out of the squad.

Midfielders George Baldock and Anthony McNamee are the players likely to be omitted.
