Oxford defender Tony Capaldi has been ruled out for up to two months with a knee injury.
Capaldi suffered a ruptured cartilage during a behind-closed-doors friendly with Bristol City last week, a game arranged to aid his recovery from a calf problem.
The former Cardiff and Plymouth man, who joined in the summer, has yet to feature for Chris Wilder's first team this year.
