Bournemouth manager Paul Groves is expecting a tough game when his side travel to Oxford for their Capital One Cup Round One clash.
United narrowly missed out on a play-off place last season and are being tipped for promotion in the forthcoming campaign and Groves knows how big a challenge they will pose to the Cherries' hopes of a cup run.
He told the club's official website: "They will be a tough team to play against and like ourselves will be looking for a good start.
"When I was at West Ham we played them in the cup at Upton Park and they were very difficult opposition, disciplined and organised and it took a goal right at the death from Scott Parker to win the game.
"Oxford have continued to progress over the past few years and I fully expect them to keep that progression going this season."
