Regional Paper Talk: Spurs close on duo
Tottenham are closing in on deals for Joao Moutinho and Loic Remy, while Liverpool could move for Theo Walcott if Andy Carroll moves on.
- Tottenham were today hoping to clinch a deal for Marseille striker Loic Remy and were growing in confidence over reaching an agreement for Porto's Joao Moutinho.
- Queens Park Rangers are closing in on deals for Stephane M'Bia and Ricardo Carvalho as controversial midfielder Joey Barton is set to complete a free transfer to Marseille.
- An audacious bid by Fulham boss Martin Jol to be reunited with Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov rests on crunch talks over the player's wage demands.
- West Ham are set to launch a final attempt to land Andy Carroll before the transfer window closes.
- Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is undergoing a medical at Fulham.
- Manchester City are bracing themselves for a late bid from AC Milan for Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong.

- Hearts have yet to receive a formal offer from Rangers for winger David Templeton and are in no rush to sell the player.
