Chelsea look set to add to their Brazilian contingent by bidding for Metalist Kharkiv star Taison, while QPR want Fulham's Brede Hangeland.

  • Although Newcastle's Demba Ba looks set to boost Chelsea's striking options, boss Rafa Benitez appears unlikely to stop there. Metalist Kharkiv star Taison is also a target after admitting holding talks with owner Roman Abramovich. The 24 year-old was a guest for the Fulham home game at the end of November, and could join the Blues growing South American influence at the club.

  • QPR are planning an audacious bid to snatch contract rebel Brede Hangland from under Fulham's noses. Boss Harry Redknapp is a big fan of the Norwegian, who is out of contract in the summer and has seen negotiations stall between his repesentatives and the Cottagers hierarchy, with neither side even close to agreeing terms.
