Manager Micky Adams insists Port Vale are still capable of winning promotion this season despite a recent run of bad form.
The Valiants have suffered four successive defeats leaving them in 14th place in League Two, although they are only six points off a play-off spot.
Adams believes things will start to look considerably different if his side can string together a run of results.
He told the club's official website: "We are still not too far behind the pack and it will take a run of results to get in there, but it's not impossible.
"You have got to have the belief that you can come out of the other side of a poor run.
"I think that with a little bit of good fortune and obviously things going on behind the scenes getting sorted, there are better times ahead for this football club. Let's hope it starts on Saturday at Rotherham."
