Michael Appleton is hopeful Portsmouth can claim a positive result at Blackpool if they show the same "unity" as they did at Birmingham.
Pompey's threadbare squad travelled back down the motorway disappointed on Tuesday night after going down to a late Nathan Redmond goal at Birmingham.
But Appleton saw enough from that battling performance to suggest his weary troops will rise to the challenge when they make the trek to promotion-chasing Blackpool.
"Birmingham were able to change it a little bit and bring on the young lad Redmond who scored the goal and caused us some problems," he said.
"When we were under the cosh we weren't in a position to bring anyone on to secure it up a little bit and take a point home.
"We've got another tough game at Blackpool but if we show the same unity hopefully we'll get a more positive result."
