It never rains but it pours for Portsmouth after their opening pre-season friendly was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Pompey, who were this week told they would begin next season in League One with a 10-point deduction, were due to take on non-league neighbours Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday afternoon.
Hawks officials were confident the match at their Westleigh Park ground would go ahead despite heavy rain falling throughout the week.
But another downpour, just one hour before kick-off, added to the surface water on the pitch and caused the referee to cancel the game.
