Dag & Red v Portsmouth preview

Dagenham will be without the suspended Scott Doe when they entertain Portsmouth.

The defender was sent off for violent conduct in the first half of Dagenham’s 2-0 defeat at Wycombe and begins his three-game suspension, which could mean a full debut for Ian Gayle.

Manager Wayne Burnett will, however, be able to call upon striker Ade Azeez after his loan from Charlton was extended until the end of the season.

Zavon Hines (knee), Rhys Murphy (groin) and Luke Wilkinson (ankle) all look set to miss out once more as the Daggers aim to keep their slim play-off hopes alive.

Portsmouth will check on Wes Fogden ahead of the trip to Dagenham.

The midfielder suffered a knee injury during last weekend’s 1-0 win over Hartlepool but managed to play on until the 86th minute and hopes to be fit.

Danny East is close to returning from an ankle injury but fellow full-back Daniel Alfei (hamstring) and striker Patrick Agyemang (ankle) are doubts.

Winger Andy Barcham is set to miss out again with his thigh problem, forward Ryan Bird has a groin injury and skipper Ben Chorley completes a four-match ban.
