Portsmouth v Oxford preview

Portsmouth will have to change their starting XI for the first time in six games when they lock horns with Oxford.

James Dunne picked up a 10th booking of the season against Tranmere and starts a two-match suspension, joining Paul McCallum, who will complete his seven-game ban, on the sidelines.

Dunne’s absence will force Andy Awford to tinker with a line-up that has won their last three games, with Nigel Atangana pushing for a return.

Josh Passley has extended his loan stay from Fulham for a further month and is expected to continue at right wing-back.

Oxford hope to be able to call on Joe Skarz when they travel to Fratton Park.

The defender missed the 3-0 win over Mansfield last weekend having tweaked a hamstring in training but he returned to full training and is likely to be involved in Michael Appleton’s squad.

The U’s boss, who is preparing to face his former employers, will have to check on Andy Whing after he picked up a knock in a development game in midweek.

Will Hoskins also featured in that match and could come into the matchday squad to tackle Pompey.
