New signings Michael Turner and Robert Snodgrass made their first starts as Norwich were held to a 0-0 draw at MK Dons on Friday night.

Simeon Jackson's cross was almost turned in by home defender Mathias Doumbe in the 19th minute before Snodgrass, stepping up to the starting XI after a substitute appearance against Ajax on Tuesday, took centre stage.

The former Leeds man set up Steve Morison for a shot which was saved by David Martin and then tested the keeper with a direct effort after cutting in from the wing.

Martin denied Morison again before half-time and made an excellent save as debutant Turner demonstrated his threat from set-pieces, before the home side finally showed as an attacking threat.

Declan Rudd had to field Stephen Gleeson's long-range effort and then kept out Daniel Powell, with Luke Chadwick unable to convert the follow-up.

Morison saw a late blast tipped over as the game finished goalless.
