Team news ahead of Sunday afternoon's Community Shield clash between Chelsea and Manchester City at Villa Park on Sunday (kick-off 1:30pm).

Marko Marin will miss Chelsea's Community Shield clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

Summer signing Marin has been suffering with a hamstring injury for several days and will sit out the curtain-raiser at Villa Park.

Chelsea have no other injury concerns for the match.

Gareth Barry and Micah Richards have both been ruled out for City.

Barry has failed to recover from the abdominal complaint that kept him out of Euro 2012, whilst Richards suffered an ankle injury as Great Britain bowed out of the Olympic tournament last weekend.

Euro 2012 finalists David Silva and Mario Balotelli are both expected to start on the bench, whilst Blues skipper Vincent Kompany should shrug off a calf injury.
