Tim Howard: Little chance with either goal and set up Everton's third. 7

Leighton Baines: Solid but not as rampant down the left as usual. 6

Seamus Coleman: Drove forward at every opportunity, a real threat. 8

Sylvain Distin: Stood up to Newcastle when they eventually threatened. 6

Phil Jagielka: Solid alongside Distin though beaten by Remy for Newcastle's second. 6

Gareth Barry: Knitted things together well. Booked on 500th appearance. 6

James McCarthy: Quiet but allowed Barkley to get forward and tidied up behind. 6

Ross Barkely: Hungry for the ball and inventive with it. Combined superbly with Lukaku. 9

Kevin Mirallas: Set up the first and had the better of Santon. 7

Leon Osman: Quiet in an attacking sense but kept things tidy. 6

Romelu Lukaku: Newcastle couldn't handle him in the first half. A constant threat. 9

Davide Santon Failed to get a grip on Mirallas. 5

Fabricio Coloccini: Best of a bad bunch in Newcastle defence. 6

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa: Woeful in first half before being pulled off at half-time. 3

Vurnon Anita: Improved in second half but nowhere in the first period. 5

Hatem Ben Arfa: Newcastle's only threat but lack of graft saw him replaced. 5

Yoan Gouffran: Drove at Everton in the second half and got some joy behind Coleman. 7

Moussa Sissoko: Made little impact throughout. 5

Cheick Tiote: Could have been him sent off. Didn't get close to Everton in first half. 5

Loic Remy: Scored late on but was isolated for much of the game. 6
