Bogdanovic, who is on-loan from Blackpool, netted the Magpies first goal in last weekend's dramatic 4-3 win at Wycombe.
And the 32-year-old forward believes they can beat Colchester on the final day and leap-frog Stevenage for the remaining play-off spot.
"I'm pleased to get off the mark," he told the Nottingham Post. "I felt like a goal had been coming because I've been pleased with my performances.
"It's a great opportunity for this club, for these lads, who deserve it. Let's hope it is going to be a good day."
"I'm sure we will do our job against Colchester as we did at Wycombe, I'm not worried about that."
