Westley's men recorded their second victory in four days courtesy of doubles from Joel Byrom and Akpo Sodje.
"The fitness has started to come together and our focus is starting to go away from trying to put endurance into players," he told the club's official website.
"The next couple of weeks is going to be about sharpening up and really getting ourselves ready to go. There are a lot of positives to take from where the squad is at but there is a lot of work to do.
"We scored from two set-pieces against AFC Wimbledon which is positive and we are starting to do more work on our set plays.
"It was good to see our set plays work and down the sides Jeffery Monakana was doing a lot of good work and getting some good balls into the box. It was a positive all round performance."
